René Groebli is a Swiss photographer, born 1927 in Zurich. He is known internationally for his dynamic, daring and then avantgardist black and white work from the mid-20th century; in particular the series Rail Magic (1949) and The Eye of Love (1954) as well as for his commissioned and free experimental work in colour.
